The utility plastic spools are usually for general purpose packagings. Light in weight but still durable, they are good for many everyday applications, such as the THHN wires, CATV wires, speaker wires, building electrical wires, fencing wires and so on.  

   The utility spools are also used for  many non-wire products, such as hoses, chains, fabrics, films, ropes and so on. Since they are splinter-free and moisture-resistant, the plastic standard utility spools are great replacements for the wood spools.
